Our space is perfect for singles, couples, or small families in central Salt Spring. Easy access to the lake, Ganges Village, and Vesuvius Beach. NOTE: NOT directly on the lake.

Swallow's Perch is located in the fully renovated walkout basement suite of a funky 1960s house. Just outside your private entrance, you will have a covered patio with outdoor seating next to our beautiful gardens.

The entire suite is available for your use. Interior doors to the main house are locked and will not be opened during your stay.

If you need help with anything or have questions about the suite or the Island, please contact your host through the app. Luca the dog may come by to say hello - he is big but very friendly! And feel free to say "Hi!" if you see us in the yard. 

LAKE SWIMMING AND FISHING

St. Mary's Lake is great for swimming and fishing! many people fish from the shore down the road, or launch small boats. It is known for its excellent smallmouth bass and yellow perch catches. Note that gas powered boats are not allowed on all Salt Spring Lakes.

Lake access is a 2 minute drive or a 15 minute walk down the road.

NEARBY ACTIVITIES

Swallow's Perch is within walking distance of Portlock Park which hosts tennis/pickleball courts, basketball hoops, a running track, a playground, baseball field and washrooms. And across the street is the adorable Fritz Theatre which is located in an historic community hall.

Just a short drive will take you to Vesuvius Beach where you can soak up the sun and smell the sea air.

DRIVING SAFETY

Salt Spring has very few street lights and none in our area. Please drive slowly and watch for deer and livestock that sometimes wander onto the roads.

SHOP NEXT DOOR

We run an upholstery shop in the garage of the house, and we have taken steps to minimize the noise that you may hear from there during the day.
